VERSA-PAD INSTRUCTIONS

ALWAYS WISE TO UNDERHEAT – OVERHEATING WILL DAMAGE MICROCORE HEATING ELEMENT

IF ELEMENT EXPANDS OR LEAKS FLUID DISCONTINUE USE AND ORDER REPLACEMENT.

1)      Place VERSA-PAD in microwave oven.

2)      You can usually locate the wattage rating on the microwave door.

3)      Microwave on high (100%) setting, 1 minute 45 seconds per side.  This heating time is based on a 700-watt microwave. 

4)      Microwave on high (100%) setting, 1 minute 15 seconds per side.  This heating time is based on a 1000-watt microwave.

5)       Your microwave may require a different heating time depending upon the wattage.  DO NOT EXCEED TOTAL 3-1/2 MINUTES MICROWAVE HEATING TIME.

6)      If VERSA-PAD is too hot, allow cooling to desired temperature before applying.  IF VERSA-PAD is not hot enough, microwave at additional 1-minute intervals, testing between each interval until desired temperature is obtained.

7)      Upon reaching the desired temperature, apply VERSA-PAD to affected area for long lasting, soothing heat and effective pain relief.

8)      Should the application of the VERSA-PAD become uncomfortably warm, remove for a few minutes, and then reapply.

9)      Prior to using for moist heat, machine wash cold; tumble dry the outer thermal cover per the washing instructions below.

ATTENTION: READ CAREFULLY BEFOR USING

*REHEATING an already warm VERSA-PAD requires a much shorter microwave heating time than 3-1/2 minutes.  When reheating is required (or when VERSA-PAD has not been out of microwave for more than 4 hours) USE CAUTION, REHEAT ONLY IN 1 MINUTE intervals.

* VERSA-PAD is designed to allow heat to be slowly released.  At first, temperature may feel lukewarm, but actually after contacting it with your hand or body surface you’ll notice temperature in Therapeutic Range of 110 degrees to 120 degrees.

*NEVER exceed first time heating interval of 3-1/2 minutes or reheating for more than 1-minute intervals.

*EXCESSIVE MICROWAVING COULD CAUSE SKIN BURN, PACK DETERIORATION AND LEAKAGE. 

*FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THERMAL COVER

The outer thermal cover of the VERSA-PAD is washable.  Remove the inner heat solution pack from the thermal cover.  Machine wash thermal cover on cold and tumble dry.  Replace heat solution pack into thermal cover to reuse the VERSA-PAD. 

CAUTION

Follow directions- improper use can cause injury.  Always test temperature VERSA-PAD before applying.  If application of VERSA-PAD causes discomfort, remove it for a few moments, then apply VERSA-PAD when it feels comfortable.  Special care should be used with infants, young children and older persons whose skin may be less sensitive to heat.  Persons with diabetes, circulatory problems, nerve damage, paralysis or insensitive skin should not use except as directed by a physician.  Always contact your doctor when serious injury occurs or when painful conditions persist.  Do not use with liniments, balms or lotions.  If any swelling exist, always consult physician before use.
